BSN PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Bachelors Of Science In Nursing (BSN) Program combines the foundations of knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to prepare clinically competent professional nurses to provide holistic and complete care to individuals, families and communities. Graduates of the programme are eligible for licensure as Registered Nurses and earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Post RN BSN Program is designed to provide the Registered Nurse at diploma level with the opportunity to acquire a broad liberal degree level education with particular emphasis on theoretical & clinical knowledge related to nursing practice, nursing research, and population health at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Diploma programme is of two academic years leading to the eligibility for license as CNA. The programme is recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council, Islamabad and it is affiliated with Nursing Examination Board. It is designed to gain knowledge and skills needed to perform as certified nursing assistant and acquire hands-on experience helping patients with daily life activities at primary, secondary and tertiary levels under supervision. COMMUNITY MIDWIVES

This is two years’ diploma program leading to the eligibility for license as CMW. The programme is recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council, Islamabad and it is affiliated with Nursing Examination Board. CMW diploma program is designed for training rural females as midwives who can provide maternal and newborn care to women and children of their communities. The Community Midwives are specially trained Skilled Birth Attendants who are equipped to conduct a normal home delivery under safe and clean conditions.

LADY HEALTHCARE VISITOR

Lady health visitors (LHVs) are female health care providers, trained to provide nursing care, maternal, child health facilities to individuals and training of community workers in urban and rural communities. LHVs serve the whole community, but they play a particularly important role in maternal and child health in rural and urban slum communities by coordinating efforts with traditional birth attendants and midwives, and by ensuring that all mothers and children receive adequate care.
